We've been in the test kitchen for a few days working on a special granola for one of our favorite granola-loving humans. She's a vegan, and honey in the Garolla circle of yumminess just won't do. 

Okay, we said. No problem. 

Back to the goodness+magic+love calculations! 

Our beautiful, new, honey-free VEGAN Garolla is on the cooling counter as this is being written...and the sneak nibbles are Garolla-delicious.

Three, two, one...blasting off.

It's our friend Jane's fault. She opened an airbnb in the coolest area of Austin about a year ago, and because she's entrepreneurial and hospitable and kind, she asked if we'd supply her guests with granola. Sure. Done.

Then we back-peddled.

The stuff is pricey (when it's done well), and Jane is our friend.
Who wants to make a friend pay high dollar for granola?

But she persisted. (And paid!) And guess what happened?
Guest after guest mentioned the lovely amenities at AustinWritersRetreat, often singling out our Garolla Granola:
